Mercury Bridges is a project developed with a "Privacy by Design" approach. We believe that protecting your data is fundamental: for this reason, the service has been designed to minimize data collection and ensure maximum confidentiality for your conversations.

1. Data Processed and Purpose

• Translation Service: Mercury Bridges uses OpenAI APIs to provide real-time translation. When you use the translation function, the text you enter is temporarily sent to OpenAI servers exclusively to process the requested translation and return the result. The data sent is not used by OpenAI for model training.
• No Storage: Mercury Bridges does not store, archive, or share any conversations on its servers. Every session is temporary: upon closing the page or the browser, all data is permanently deleted from your device's memory.

2. Data Export

Mercury Bridges offers you the ability to download your translation history as a .txt file. This operation takes place entirely on your device (client-side). Mercury Bridges does not interact with this file after download and does not keep any copies.

3. Technical Monitoring

To ensure the stability and security of Mercury Bridges, we use Sentry, a technical error monitoring service.

• Privacy-First: The service is configured not to collect, store, or analyze personal data (such as IP addresses, profiling cookies, or user identification information).
• Purpose: Monitoring is strictly limited to reporting technical bugs or system crashes, allowing us to quickly resolve any issues and improve the user experience.

4. Cookies

Mercury Bridges does not use profiling cookies, marketing tracking tools, or third-party advertising scripts. The site uses exclusively technical cookies necessary for the correct functioning of the session.

5. Your Rights

In accordance with GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access data that may pass through your session (which, as specified, is managed locally on your device).
• Request information about how the service works.
• Contact us with any privacy-related questions.

Since the service does not store personal data, there is no need for an account deletion or data removal procedure from our systems, as such data is never collected.
