Welcome to Mercury Bridges. The use of this application is governed by the following Terms and Conditions. By accessing or using the application, the user agrees to be bound by this agreement.

Mercury Bridges provides a real-time, bidirectional voice and text translation service. The application processes user input (voice and text) via third-party Artificial Intelligence models (OpenAI API) to provide fluid translations and synthetic speech responses.

2. Limitation of Liability and Warranty Disclaimer

IMPORTANT ACCURACY DISCLAIMER: The service is provided "as is" and "as available". Although the application uses state-of-the-art translation technologies, content generated by Artificial Intelligence may contain errors, imprecise nuances, omissions, or incorrect translations.

In no event shall the developer or business partners be held liable for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from:

Errors or inaccuracies in the translations provided by the application.
Decisions made by the user based on the translations (including professional, commercial, technical, or medical contexts).
Use in critical contexts: The use of context selectors (e.g., Medical, Technical) is for linguistic optimization purposes only and does not replace professional translators, official medical advice, or certified technical documentation in any way. The user assumes full responsibility for the use of such translations in sensitive contexts.

3. Permitted Use and User Conduct

The user agrees to use the application exclusively for lawful purposes. It is strictly forbidden to:

Use the service to transmit, translate, or generate offensive, defamatory, illegal content, or content that violates third-party privacy without their explicit consent.
Attempt to decompile, tamper with, or overload the application's infrastructure and associated APIs.

4. Third-Party Services and Costs

The application interfaces with external services (OpenAI, Sentry for crash monitoring). Service availability depends on the operational continuity of such third parties. The developer reserves the right to modify, update, limit, or discontinue features of the application (or access to it) at any time for maintenance or system upgrades.

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights relating to the application interface, source code, the "Mercury Bridges" trademark, and associated logos belong exclusively to the legitimate developer and owner of the software.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the application after the publication of modifications will constitute the user's acceptance of the new terms.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws in force in Italy. For any legal dispute arising from the use of this service, the competent forum shall be determined in accordance with consumer regulations or applicable local laws.
